Not every damaged pavement surface requires a full-depth asphalt repair. As your partner, M+J begins by making an accurate assessment of your situation and developing a plan that best addresses your specific issues. In many cases where there is minimal cracking, few trouble spots, good drainage, and a strong base, asphalt milling provides a simple, minimally invasive, and cost-effective solution for restoring structural integrity to your surface.
Asphalt milling is an overlay process that avoids a complete excavation of the designated area and restores your pavement at a fraction of the cost of a full-depth repair.
- Using one of our eight state-of-the-art milling machines in multiple sizes, we begin by removing and hauling away 1.5 to 3 inches of the asphalt from your existing surface.
- We then power clean the entire area to remove all dirt and debris.
- Finally, our paving crew overlays new asphalt on top of the remaining layers. The new course is compacted and allowed to cool.
